Little diddy printer trays!

Hello and happy Friday! The project I have to share with you today is a class project from a Hels Sheridan workshop I went to last weekend at the Stamp Attic - this is my first printer tray and it was soooo diddy!  It's a Tando Creative chipboard tray which we inked and added lots of little embellies too - lots of fun! More details here at Hel's blog on the methods we used, but they all looked so different - brilliant class!

Thanks for visiting today :) going to enter this in Hels' Sunday Stamper challenge too :)

I've also posted at The Stamp Attic blog this week, go take a peek and let me know what you think :)

Have a great weekend!

Happy scrapping

Up, up and away...

Happy Friday peoples!!  Hurrah hurrah for the end of the week :) although I am working the weekend so not quite, but I'll get there ;)

I have a tag to share with you today using this marvellous balloon stamp (love this!) from the 'Remnants' set by Stampers Anonymous - I've used this before in this class with Hels who showed us how to layer it like this, but I covered the pieces with Tim Holtz tissue tape first and then inked them, really liking the effect :)

I've also posted at The Stamp Attic today so here's a sneak peek, please pop over and leave me a comment if you like it :)
Have a gorgeous weekend!  Happy scrapping ;)

And then there was Studio 490...

So... last weekend I went to a Studio 490 workshop with Hels Sheridan at The Stamp Attic - I admit to not being very familiar with Wendy Vecchi's products before now, but oh boy, I could easily develop a new addiction!  What makes it horribly horribly want-able is that all the different goodies from the different lines go together so terribly well :-D  want want want!

So the fun in this workshop is that it introduced us to new products but also we had time to play with them and just create something completely individual - you can see how different all the projects were in Wendy's Stamp Attic post here.  Special mention goes to Lewis who I don't think has a blog but managed to make not one but TWO projects through the course of the class! One to watch ;)

I was still playing with my project right up until the end. and even after I got home!  But this is what I made, and probably this is the first project of this type I've ever tried; loving this as a piece to hang up on the wall (Studio 490 has some great sentiments!).

I also made a piece for The Stamp Attic blog this week using Andy Skinner's stamps; I actually didn't make a tag this week (shock! gasp!) so here's a sneak peek, let me know what you think at The Stamp Attic ;)
Happy scrapping this weekend! I am up to my neck in essay so look forward to some more crafting after Monday ;)

Welcome to the world of t'pouch...

Welcome to your weekend and the world of the t'pouch!  Last weekend I was lucky enough not only to attend a great class at the Stamp Attic with Hels Sheridan, but I also got to spend time with Stamp Attic owner Wendy.  What a lovely weekend! Lots of chat, plenty of coffee, and some inking to boot; who could ask for more!

As before I made cakes to take with me to the workshop, and once again I forgot to take pics LOL but I took a pic of the raspberry brownies before they ever left the baking tin (or the house!) and here they are...
I can't even tell you how gorgeous and gooey these were, I shall be making them again!  I also made a banana marble cake, but to be honest those brownies, oh the brownies!!

So I travelled up on Saturday afternoon and spent the evening with Wendy and her family, which was wonderful :) we ate, we chatted, we got vocal at the telly while The Voice and BGT were on: great fun!!  And I visited Wendy's craft room which is truly a cave of wonders!  Wendy's having a little revamp at the moment so no pics LOL

On Sunday we went to the Stamp Attic and met with Hels and the other ladies (and gent!) taking the workshop, charged ourselves up with plenty of coffee, cake and other goodies, and proceeded to ink and glue like our lives depended on it!

This was a tag class with a difference; tags on tags on tags in a pouch!  You can see Hels' blog post here for more information on how we made and embellished the tags and t'pouch (tag pouch), and Wendy has also blogged here with pics of all the tags made in class :)  And here's my effort!

Lately I am totally obsessed with tags and inking, so this class was right up my street!  (see, I did say on Friday I'd be right back on the tags after that card post LOL).  Was also really feeling the sunshiney colours this weekend, and at the time I didn't realise it but this is also Hels' Sunday stamper theme so it must be getting to that time of year :)

On a different note, in case you missed Julie's post last week you can see it here; it's important to us to make sure we can support causes that are near to our hearts.  We'd love to hear your comments :)

Happy scrapping!

Hels told us to 'Get Arty'... so we did!

Happy Friday Scrappy Tree-ers!  Today I have a post to share with you about my first ever crafting class, which I attended last Sunday (if you chat with us at The Scrappy Tree Facebook Branch, you'll know we were talking about classes recently) - and this is what I made!

The workshop was called 'Get Arty' and was taught by Hels Sheridan at a rather fabby shop full of all scrappy goodness in Wantage (in England) called The Stamp Attic, which is owned by a friend of The Scrappy Tree called Wendy :)
Me and Wendy in the shop!

You can see Hels' original project here, and Wendy's post about the day here (yes I tried to distract them from my lack of scrappy skills with cake LOL) which will give you some idea of the products used - to be honest we had such a great time and were concentrating so hard it's difficult to remember the names of all the products!  There really were a lot of layers to this; painting, stamping, triple embossing, crackle varnish etc etc etc..!  I had blue Smurf fingers for two days!!

One of the best things about a class like this is that it introduces you to products and techniques that you might not have used before, and instead of trying them as you work your way through a magazine article or someone's blog step-by-step, you've got not only a live demonstration but also someone to come and rescue you when you need help! lol

Have to say that we had a wonderful time there, not only meeting Wendy and Hels but all the rest of the lovely ladies (including Caz who was a wonderful assistant!  Kept us topped up with tea and coffee and still made a beautiful creation of her own!)

Hoping you have some crafty time in your weekend :) thanks for visiting with us today, happy scrapping!!
