What a cute giveaway idea! I've used the crackle paint to distress paper and cardboard even more, the distress embossing powder like regular embossing powder, Staz On for stamping on those "slippery" surfaces. I've never tried Smooch and would love to!
I use the Staz On ink for the majority of the distressing I do. I have also used the Tom Holtz Crackle paint on a few projects lately!
