Paper bag pocket

Hello everyone!  It's Julie here today with a fun altered project that I made over the past weekend while I attended the Southern MN Scrapbook Convention in Austin, MN.  I chose to make this altered paper bag pocket to enter in one of their contests for best in show under their altered project category.  To my surprise, it won!  I got a cool plaque to celebrate.  :)  I'd love to share this project with you today.

I just love paper bag pockets!  They are easy to make and accessorize!  I sewed my paper bag pocket at home and brought it along with me to the event.  I love love love October Afternoon products and I chose to use the 9 to 5 collection with this project.  I used their paper and stickers.

I loved the old time office feel of this line so I chose to put tags and notebooks, all with an office theme into the bag.  The two tags I made are below.  I got the cool arrow paper clip from Michelle Wooderson's Big Cartel Shop!

I purchased these skinny notepads while at the convention and I used the 9 to 5 line to create covers for them.  Look for the notebooks in your office supply store and ask them to cut them in half.  They will usually do so with out a charge!  Then you can make some little notebooks of your own!

The inside view shows the opposite sides of papers which I loved and it also shows the little strip that I glued down to cover up the standard from the store look of the notepad.

If you have any questions or comments, we'd love to hear from you!  Hope you have a crafty day today!
